Sissy Chacon is GOOD IN BED*
*Intentional with everything
Sissy Chacon is a stylist in LA who moonlights as a content creator for brands, stores and artists — in other words, the precise mix of artsy perfection you thought only existed in indie films. Yes she’s real, and so is her bedroom, complete with cuddly cat, husband, and crossword puzzles on the nightstand. Read on for inspiration (and possibly a little awe) as she exposes her bed intentions.
What does good in bed mean to you?
I’m good in bed because I idle with intention.
To me, being good in bed means doing everything with an intention of feeling invigorated and replenished afterwards. My bed is where I do almost everything. It’s like the mission control board of my life. It’s where I wake up next to the love of my life and have coffee every morning. It’s where I rest to recharge after a brutal work week. It’s where I bring projects and vision to life from my laptop. It’s where we have all day film fests for inspiration or binge watch TV for mindless entertainment.
Any of these things done to excess will make me feel depleted so I do my best to not be a workaholic or a lazybones in bed.
What or who is currently in your bed
My husband and my cat.
Describe how you would spend an entire day in bed?
I would spend an entire day in bed either working on TheSort.co from my laptop or having a film fest with my husband.
Bedtime ritual you can’t live without:
Doing a NYT crossword puzzle until I fall asleep.
How do you make your bedroom a sanctuary?
Serene colors, sparsely decorated, the softest cloudlike bedding. We also each get a duvet of our own (yes, no top sheet ) so no one can be a cover-hog.
What would people be surprised to learn you do in bed?
I think my days of doing surprising things in bed are over. LOL.
First thing you do when you wake up?
Cuddle my cat.
Last thing you do before you go to sleep?
Crossword puzzle or sudoku.
I hit the snooze button once or twice ( if I don’t wake up before my alarm goes off).
Favorite thing to wear to bed and why?
The softest Organic Pima Cotton sleepwear by Lunya.
What can we currently find on your nightstand?
Air pods, felted wool remote cozy, my spectacles, my laptop, a coffee mug, a water bottle, a 10 ft phone charging cord, cbd ointment, and The Road Less Traveled which I’ve renamed The Book Never Opened because I’ve intended to read it for a year now and haven’t.
